Summer with Luna

Long time no post! Well here's one now. :) I've got to say, after lots of rants about spring never coming (see older posts) it's..dare I say... FINALLY HERE! Weaalll... come to think of it it doesn't feel like spring. The sun's like pouring its rays down and yes making everything hot hot hot. I think I'll need sunscreen! Everything's green, and budding, and everything. However, it feels like we just skipped spring and voila! Summer's here!

Spring with Land's End

With spring comes lots of laziness, and sleepiness. It''s nice to just enjoy the great weather outside and relax and read a book, but homework and chores have to get done. I haven't done really anything yesterday or today. The weathers just been too nice to waste indoors or doing things, and I'm still half asleep now.

Anyways, today I have a different sort of art. It's a collage instead of drawings or sketches, made out of a junk mail Land's End store magazine. I hope you all like it and Happy April 27th!

Biking with Princess Luna

So the weather's been better lately, and with this week being Earth day week and everything, I've decided to bike more. Really, biking is so fun and relaxing and great. You get to be outside and really enjoy the sunshine or whatever weather, and breathe in the fresh air. Being outside is just marvelous, too. If you take your time while riding, you can see many beautiful natural things that you wouldn't see if you were in a car on the highway. I've noticed the budding of the trees, and once saw a squirrel, while digging for nuts, flip completely headfirst over. It was a funny sight. :) You get your exercise too! 

Today's post is one of Princess Luna, from My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. She's still my favorite character. See other pictures of her on the My Little Pony page. This one's just a rough sketch. I don't know if I like this style of drawing yet, so I'm just trying something different every time. Happy April 25th!

Modern Look

Internet Issues and Scallops

Knock knock? Internet? Are you there? I hope so. Sorry, but currently my internet connection is very...interesting. It comes and goes and comes and goes and pops and clicks. Ok it doesn't make sounds but yeah.

I actually found time to post! Even though it's very late and I should be going to sleep now! Yay! So veerry quiggly, here I have miss scalloped dress lady. I like the design if I do say so myself. Pardon that random arm, it's from another drawing and...yeah. :) Happy April 21st!

Mediocre Freak Weather

Today's weather was not even freakish, it was so weird. In the morning it was dark and stormy and cloudy. Then it started to snow, but the clouds lightened. At midday it was sunny, with snow still coming down. Then it ice pelleted, flaked, ice pelleted, flaked, stopped, sunnied, ice pelleted, flaked and now is sunny. The wind has also been coming and going. The temperature isn't that great either. Yikes! When will spring come back?

I will not not not be able to post on Saturday or Sunday. REALLY HECTIC WEEKEND, here you come! Sorry for that.

Today I have yet another little old tidbit. It's one of my mediocre works. That's all. Happy April 19th!

Rain and Outfits

A rainy day. Perfect for drawing. Except that I have drawers block and a million other indoor things to do. Y

This here is another oldie, and it's a fashion-y person. Focusing on the outfit, not the face. Her name is Scarlett and..that's it for this cold day. Oh why can't it be warm and sunny? Please oh please be warm and sunny. I'm beyond fed up with this cold weather. *Sigh. Happy April 17th!

Drawers Block and Old Pictures

So... I've been having a drawing block lately. (is it called a drawing block? I know writers have writers block) No pictures have been scribbled for a few days. I do have stuff in art class, but that's for art class and I'm not finished with them and won't get them back for awhile. 

That means... the pictures I post will be from last year, or January of this year or even older than that. This drawing I have here is probably from December or something, I can't remember. Enjoy and Happy April 16th! (Wow time really really flies)

Finally Back on Schedule

I declare on this Monday that I am back on schedule with a post and a picture a day! Woohoo! The last weekend was really busy. The bad thing is, next weekend will be also hectic and I may not post. I guess in general expect a daily on weekdays and sometimes one or two on the weekends. :)

This morning the sun was shining with all its brilliant might, the birds were singing in full choruses and the air carried the sweet smell of fresh flora. I thought finally, spring had sprung! Now in the afternoon however, the sky is angry and cloudy, the birds are safely tucked in their nests and the wind is making the withered bone branches of the balded trees sway and bend. A storm is coming.

Today's picture was drawn by me oh, maybe two years ago? I found it in a folder lying in some random place, like many other objects of mine. The thing I like most about this picture is her gigantic fluffy wings and the overall balance of the picture. Hope you like it, and Happy April 15th!

Busy-ness and Tidbits

Thunderstorms and a Faulty Plane

Good evening! I've started posting later in the day, so you'll probably be seeing this tomorrow. Anyways, the weather is still cold and misty and drizzly. Last night supposedly the wind was blowing really hard and there was really loud rain. I slept through it all. :)  I guess I was really tired. It's a pity I missed it though, because I've just recently realized I like thunderstorms. They're awesome in a really scary way.

Today (tonight) I have a really scribblish plane. It doesn't even have the right engine! Ahhh! Oh well. I drew this last last year. Time really flies, doesn't it? Oh yeah and it doesn't have a tail either. *Gasp Happy April 11th!

Randomness

Hi everyone! It's another gloomy rainy frigid cold grrr... day. There's nothin' much going on again, so I have a random drawing. It's a girl with a serving apron and cat bell necklace and bow and angel wings. Like I said, really random. Her wing got clipped off, apologies for that. Happy April 10th! Hunger Games Role Play

Hello and welcome to this dreary rainy cold shivery April day. Brrr. 

Anyways, I should explain this "picture" I have below. I didn't draw anything, so I felt I should just upload this. It's not exactly a picture, but I did draw it. This, below, is the cover for the Hunger Games Role Play that I'm about to do with my friends. As you may have noticed, it says second annual Hunger Games. We just finished the first. It's really fun, and all you do is write a few lines and pass the packet (with the map, the character profiles and the stats and of course the papers) onto the next person. It goes round and round and round until someone dies. Then the game ends when everyone dies. Try and guess what the futuristic logos are mimicking, and Happy April 9th!

Just a Little Tidbit

Spring Lady

Sorry for not posting yesterday. It was a day of lazying around. Back on track today. The weather was sooo nice out! There weren't that many bugs yet, but it was warm enough for a sweater (ok ok that's not that warm to some people) and really the coldness of the winters we get really helps us appreciate the warmth of spring. I took a long walk and oh gosh it was sooo nice with the sun on your face. I felt like a cat basking in sunshine. I also saw two huge muskies in the lake I was walking by. Wildlife is really interesting to watch.

Anyways, here I have a random lady. She was colored really well, but unfortunately color doesn't show up well on the scanner. She looks like she's a lady from the oldern english times. Happy April 7th! (Already!)

Stand By Me, Queens of the Fire Nation

Well... today was a busy day! I've realized what my favorite song is, by the way. It's called "Stand By Me," and was in the movie "Stand By Me". Who could've guessed? :) here's a link to the youtube video: right this way I also love the movie, and now want to watch it again.

In other news, I won the informal not official art contest at my school between me and a few friends. Yay!  Here are the pictures I drew for it: they judged for sportsmanship, creativity and time spent on it. All the other entries were really good, too. 

And now... the moment you've been waiting for... here are the new and official queens of the Fire Nation! I present to you... Queen Messalla and Queen Sage! Congratulations and once again thanks for voting in the competition! Ta Da! :) Happy April 5th!

Elf Wedding

Well, it's just another normal day today. There's nothing special going on, really. Here I have an elf wedding. The elf on the left is the maid of honor, the elf on the right the flower girl and in the middle of course is the bride. That's all, and Happy April 4th!

A Dedication to Jenny

Hello to everyone on this sunny spring-y day! It seems that spring is finally FINALLY here. The snow is melting, the grass is growing green, the trees are budding, the birds are calling, it's finally spring! 

Today I have a very special picture (it's colored!) for a very special person: Jenny! She's nice and very inspiring and funny. Her blog is here: Artsy Peacock I drew her a peacock! It felt like the right animal to do, because her blog is entitled peacock, and it just feels... right. I don't know why. Enjoy :) and Happy April 3rd!

Periwinkle Pegasi Farm and Princess Winners

Guess what? The fire princess event is now over! There has been a tie for the queen... so I guess there'll be two queens of the Fire Nation! In my following posts I will post a picture of the two queens. They are... drumroll please... MESSALLA and SAGE. Congratulations go to them, and thanks for participating in the voting. I've got a lot of work loaded on me, because spring break is over. Back to bleh. Anyways, here I have two pictures. They are Pegasi of Periwinkle Pegasi Farms and a drawing of the farm building. Click on the picture to get it larger, I know the small writing is hard to see. These two pictures are part of my three-part farm collection. It's for a casual little not official drawing contest my friend Kelly (not me) came up with. You just had to draw a farm, however you wanted. It could even be a Pegasi Farm! Yay!

Sorry for not posting yesterday, I avoided doing stuff, in case I was fooled by someone. I just sat around all day and read. I still was fooled, though. Only once! Did anyone else get fooled? Happy April 2nd!

Hi everyone! Just saying a Happy Easter. It wasn't a great Easter for egg hunts... slushy muddy ground, cloudy gray day, and STILL SNOWING! Can you believe it?!? It's almost April! Grrrrrrr... Oh well. Nothing we can do about it.

Here I have, in honor of Easter, a girl with bunny ears and an Easter outfit. I experimented with filling in the background with color on Paint after I'd scanned it onto the computer. She has a patterned blouse and skirt, and her boots are egg-filled. Little fuzzies are like rabbit tails on her wrists. The thing is, though, this outfit would not be able to be worn this Easter. It's wwaaayyyyy to cold. Grrrr... Happy March 31st!

Anyways, I'm back from my break in posting! Woohoo! During break, I wrote a short story and will possibly be posting it on my prose writing page. It's called Red, and it's about a girl named Red who's a princess. I'm still on the first draft, editing and stuff, so it's not perfect! 

In other news, March Madness is going on (men's basketball tournament). I'm rooting for Marquette. The team got to the Elite Eight, but tonight they're facing Syracuse... nervous! I hope the team you're rooting for wins! (But I also want Marquette to win). 

Finally, I have here today, the day before Easter, a random Princess Luna Picture. It's entitled "Luna's Thoughts." Happy March 30th!

Graceling and Luna

Well, today was a very book-y day. It's one of the rare days I don't have to get up early or do anything. That means I stayed in bed until 12:00 reading a superb awesome divine book called Graceling by Kristin Cashore. I then proceeded to take a shower and continue reading it. I'm done now, and all I've got to say is wow. So good. I devoured it! Anyone/everyone should read it! It's just so gooooooood. The thing is though, these days the books' covers are being replaced with newfangled ones, depicting real people and dark colors and making it "cool". I think those are just bad covers, and there's really no need to do that. The old covers were just as good, if not better (which in most cases is true).

I'm taking a break from posting after today, will be back in a few days. Time for me to draw some more. :) Please keep spreading the word about my bloggy-wog though. Thanks!

Anne Frank and a Dragon

Today is the official start of Spring Break! Yipee! The sky is still impossibly blue and the sun is beginning to melt all the snow. Finally spring seems to be coming. I'm going on vacation over the week, so no posts. 

I have a dragon for you all. I drew it a week or so ago, but now seemed like the time to put it up. Those scales took forever. But I'm proud of the results and the sun behind the dragon's head is a really good circle. (I can't believe it turned out so good).

I'm reading the Diary of Anne Frank right now, and she seems to be very insightful and deep. If deepness was measured by depth of the ocean, she would be at the bottom of the Marinas Trench. (did I spell that right?). Here's one of her thoughts: "laziness may seem inviting, but only hard work will give true satisfaction." So true.

Dressed Up for the Show

Welcome to the Fire Princess Judging Competition! Don't know what I'm talking about? Click  HERE.The judging of the Fire Princesses is in front of many spectators. One of our star guests is Princess Katya Schroeder of the neighboring Saundra Nation. (The Fire Nation is where the judging of the princesses is occurring . She is decked in fine jewels on her crown and necklace. Gold bands circle her arms. Her skirt and top are glittery and metallic, and her shoes are midnight black high heel lace ups. Satin and silk shimmery scarves are worn on her wrists. All in all, a great look with excellent choices of accessories. Happy March 19th! 

Snow and Spirit

Urrrgghhh. Snow has just come falling down...again. Why can't spring start? It's gonna officially be spring in two days, so why can't the outside look more like it? The one good thing about winter is that it keeps the bugs away. But I'm tired of the same white deadness and want greenness and warmness! Oh well. The only thing we can do is to keep our spirits up. I have here a small sketch and it's a horse-spirit, here to keep everyone's spirit up! Yay! Please please please please spread word about my blog to anyone so the princess judging will be great. Cats and Dolls

A rainy, misty day. I apologize for not posting any Fire Princesses,  haven't drawn number 7 or 8. Tomorrow will be the day the poll gets up, because I will post those princesses! (hopefully). The first two pictures I have today are cats. I'm not that good at kitties, but it's my best try. These are dedicated to my friend Dorothy. Down there I have four dolls. Their names, as listed, are Amy, Laura, Marie and Harriet. They're colored! Yay! That's it, I got to get drawing those fire princesses. Happy March 15th!

Princesses and Pi

Hello again today! I have more fire princesses (see link for info). The top one is princess Messalla, and the bottom one is princess Sage. Only two more until the voting for your favorite begins. :) On the very bottom, way down there, is a picture called Pi Day Cheer. Why? Well because today is Pi day! Don't know what that is? Pi day is March 14th, or 3.14, which is the first three digits of Pi. At 1:59 and 26 seconds today, it was ultra Pi day! 3.1415926! How many digits of Pi can you recite? Or would you rather eat Pie? Fire Princesses

Hi, this is just a reminder of the Fire Princess stuff going on. I have a series of Fire Princesses who are vying for the crown and the title of queen. It's up to you to decide and vote on your favorite one! There'll be a poll up once I've posted all (I think there'll be eight) and please VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE!

A review on the guidelines in order for a Princess to be a contestant: They must be firebending, pretty and have a fire nation bun with a fire symbol on their head. Please DON'T judge on the paper I drew them on or if they're colored or not.

The Royal Family and Another Princess

Another Spring-like beautiful blue day...cross my fingers it's not another false start! I have another Fire Princess. She's number 4, and her name is Lyra Avalon as it states. My second picture is of hummingbirds. They are "the Royal Hummingbird Family." I don't have names for them, please give me advice! The guys have the plumes on their tails. The top two are king and queen, and the bottom two are the older sister and the younger brother. This picture was inspired by my friend Christina, because she wanted a pic of hummingbirds.  That's all. Happy March 13th!

Fire and Bands

Hi again, everyone! Another false start of spring...phooey. Moving on to my pictures. The first is FIRE PRINCESS NUMBER 3. Her name is Alyse, and I'm sorry to say that my scanner cut off the end of her dress (which was fancy and really ripply and cool). The Fire Princesses must be firebending in at least one hand and have the bun with the fire symbol. Yup. Then I have a "banded swan", which is a swan but has black bands and a mohawk thingy on its head. Let's just say it went extinct in 1000 B.C. That's all for today. Happy March 12th!
